Oooha, nice rock song. The groove starts very nicely. Reminds
a bit of "No Doubt". Especially nice: the kitchen scene in the
video. You also built in a bit of slow motion. The balance of
voice and heavy guitar is well done.

02:13 I think you should have modulated here, up 1 step, right before the pickup note on the vocal (the refrain line I think).
02:28 This half bar break would be a great segue into a real metal breakdown (like Volbeat likes to do in their songs) if you want and would break things up. Even though there previously was already a heavy drum section.
02:30 ...but since you didnt decide to go in a heavy breakdown and instead went into ballad direction.. there could be a highly technical (aka shred) bass riff here as transition rather than a walking bass with a couple harmonics, this would bring it to the next level.
02:36 this bar and the next few, I believe would be better with light drum cymbals for ambience, very low, like shimmering ta ta ta..tatatata.. tatatata.. just for more texture. (I guess pro's might add background synths in a section like this, not sure)
When you come back into the rock groove right after this light section, I think I'd prefer aggressive mid/low tom beating with no snare yet (save snare for when full groove comes back).
Overall I like the song.
There is something about the vocals which is not hitting though. Some effect like too much chorus, is making the lyrics too muddy or unintelligible. Lzzy Hale sings aggressively plus the lyrics can be heard. Maybe it is a vocal diction problem with the vocalist or maybe an effects-mix problem or both. I can't really pinpoint it other than to say I would have liked to have been able to shout along to the lyrics (female vocal part) but I can't hear all the words, which doesn't fit with the otherwise gritty-clean-female-vocal tone (perhaps compare to Pat Benetar etc? ..projects growly aggression yet lyrics are understandable).
The opening 4 bars might be stronger somehow. It's okay if it is how you want. But othewise perhaps a rhythm riff can be snuck in there in between power chord chunka chunka. Dimebag style. This could be a stronger hook in the critical opening.

Agreed specifically the lighting and lack of effects in the video. I wanted to like it but did not. Lighting would have a huge improvement on the video, in the apartment scenes and the live band scenes. Also add some effects to the short cuts.

The way the vocal melody flows is like "No Doubt", for expample
"Don't Speak". The way to sing the vocal melody so calmly is e.g.
the typical kind of no doubt (and also of some others of course).
The way the vocalist dominates the video is also like "No Doubt".
But ok: One sees a similarity where the other one can't, that's
just normal and nothing special. However, the assumption of sexism
is already an insult!

your video then less is more! Don't mess up the beautiful

in your advice!
If the song content is fantasy-like or science-fiction or even
just psych-trip-like, then a corresponding fantasy preparation of
the video is called for. Some of our videos are like that.
But on the other hand if the song content depicts an everyday
scene from everyone's life or tells such a story, then excessive
colors or alienations are counterproductive. And that would be
the case here!
like it as is....good jam..love the vox and mix...Guano Apes is a fav and this follows that nicely...best to you all. I do feel sorry for the poor fellow on the floor with the cell phone.... ;o)
