Default Flickering Menus and Dialogue Boxes

Working fine last week, but this week Reaper has horrible flickering making it almost unusable. See video. Not sure what has changed. All other programs I've tested so far seem fine, though if Reaper is open it seems to cause them to be afflicted also. If Reaper is closed, they're fine.

I tried updating to latest Geforce driver and no help, still flickering like crazy. Lucky I'm not prone to epilepsy, seriously.

Region Render manager is unaffected

Menus are, Preferences pane is, changelog is affected, VST's are affected

Looks like some redraw code is going haywire

Could you try a portable installation of Reaper and check, whether it's the same thing?

Thanks Meo-Ada Mespotine, installing a portable install and running it worked. No flicker. Any idea why that would work but local install doesn't?

I found a way to get around the issue.

I tried importing an old configuration backup, and the issue was gone.

I then tried importing my latest configuration backup, and the issue returned. I'd done a fair bit of modifying between backups, so this was sad, but then I found if I went back to the old backup, and then loaded the new one, but selected all the options to import except "configuration", the most recent configuration imported with all my latest settings preserved. I'm yet to find out what is missing, but it all seems to work and hopefully when I figure out what didn't get imported I'll be able to fix it up.

So not sure exactly what was causing it, but so far it seems resolved

Could you provide the reaper.ini of the faulty Reaper config? Maybe the devs see something in there.

Especially as it sounds like a config issue.

Default Locking menu right clik

I have such problems in the latest versions. When you open the menu with the right mouse button on the locking icon, the additional options window is hidden behind the program. This happens in the latest Dev builds and in the latest RC1.
