Default Some kind of "jazz-jingle": Would You Mind?

I don't progress on the recent tracks that I work on. So I digged a little bit within my older projects.

This is a jazzy-kind-of-tune I wrote in my early Reaper-time (must have been around end of 2016 or so). Did some additional mixing on it.

Mainly it was just a try-out of some vst-instruments, not a whole piece per se.

Maybe you like it - if you have some comments on it, I would appreciate. It doesn't take much time, it's less than one minute.

Another editing of this little piece. Changed the trumpet into a flugelhorn and added some saxes.

Sounds smoother now. The muted trumped I used had some bad resonances that I couldn't get rid of.

Hey... I like this! Nice job.

Horns are sampled? They sound good, but need a little verb to "gel"...provide a little release..tail

Drums sound nice! Like the snare.. Bass is awesome..

My only other comment is it was too short! Would have loved a developed song with a story... Maybe this is just a sample of things to come??? Very good start!

#4 is definitely an improvement.

I think the horns are just a little bit too loud overall. It seems like the flugelhorn at the begining puts all the weight in your right ear. To prevent this, I'd try to put a reverb on the flugelhorn and pan that reverb to the opposite side.

Well, everyting's sampled. For #4 I used some new library I could purchase. Drums are from a free library called "drummic'a" (some Kontakt-thing, marketed by Sennheiser/Neumann and really fucking good in my view)... And yes, I recently thought about a more developed version and think, I'll realize this in somewhat near future. And also yes, currently I'm working on some 15/16 piece that really challenges me.

(#4): Yeah, I think so, too. I'll have to have a re-listening, but I can imagine, that your critique is correct.

Thank you both, mschuster and Herr Nox, for contributing!
