Default New X-Touch One controller looks exciting!

This looks like a serious contender to take the place of the Faderport I have always wondered why nobody else tried to go for a one-fader design with some opgrades. The X-Touch One looks to be just that and with more buttons, an LED strip, a nice jog wheel, connectivity with other units in the X-touch-series and of course a more open Mackie, HUI or normal midi platform support. This looks like a really exciting midi controller for any workflow.

Frontier Alphatrack kind of did that some time ago. Picked up my last replacement for £17
But good to see a current option for single fader with screen.

Yeah, I know of that one. The One still looks like a better product, but it's hard to compare since the Alphatrack goes for pretty cheap. How does it compare to the Faderport? Are the encoder continuous? Does it work in windows 10?

Alphatrack encoders are continuous and touch sensitive, it works fine in W10 though there is no more official support so some other DAWs may have issues, but with the Alphatrack Pro driver someone here wrote for Reaper it works even better than it did with the original driver.

Never owned a faderport to compare as I wouldn't find much use for a unit with no screen to at minimum tell me which track I'm on!

Thanks, I've already put in a bid on one of these badboys. Thanks for telling me about it.
