Clip FX?
For the last few weeks i wasn't around anymore, because i've been trying Samplitude.
At the moment i'm leaning more torwards Samplitude, although it is way more expensive, mostly because of one feature:
Clip-FX
Want a delay on the last word? Want a chord on certain phrases? Just cut the phrase out and add the FX. In the meanwhile this seems essential for me, when working with audio.
So my question is: are there maybe any plans, to add clip-FX to Reaper?

Hi Odin.
I have also requested such a thing several times. This woudl be fine, and i second you on that point.
But, even if i first thought it was a big need, now i think some more thnigs more urgent have to be implemented first (good midi overdub rec, media manager, easy paste-insert, per clip color, etc), as there is many techniques to bypass this apparent limitation :
- for example, you can create a folder track and slice your clip in several pieces. You put each of those pieces in a new track with different efx.
- You can also have empty tracks, with no audio, but only vst effects (let's say : one track for reverb, one for delay, etc), and you can draw a efx send envelope on your audio track to send your audio in these efx-dedicated tracks, just when you want it.
By the way, Tracktion is way cheaper than Samplitude, but more expensive and limited than Reaper, and does by clip efx.

As someone said recently - Samplitude is 14 years ahead of reaper!
BUT - Reaper is 14 times faster in development and objectFX has been requested by many Sam users here. I'm sure its on the DO list somewhere but I also know that its a huge task to make it work smoothly. We'll see......
Cheers

+1 I posted about this too, I think it is a KEY feature. I know energyXT2 will also have it. What I was also pushing for was the ability to combine different clips together (with FX) into 1 clip, and have the ability to undo this to infinite levels.
