Default Reaper in Dark Mode: more resource consumption ?

Dear Reapers,

I really like Reaper in Dark Mode.
However, when enabled, my macbook retina 2015 fans kick in quite fast en loud, also with nearly empty Reaper Projects.

Does any OSX-Reaper nitwit knows how come ?

Kind Regards.

Hmmm not sure. Can you test and see what CPU usage is with a blank project with normal Vs dark mode?

I'd check with both Reaper's performance stats and Mac OS Activity Monitor.

I had a CPU/graphics issue when I tried it as well, had to stop using it. Shame, I loved the way it looked! But on large sessions, Reaper's metering (and metering in some plugins) would slow right down to the point that they were useless.

Sorry I'm not offering a solution here, just wanted to confirm you're not the only one!

Macbook Pro 2018, 2.9 GHz Intel Core i9, 32 GB RAM, OS 10.14.6.
