RADO - Reaper Theme (RELEASED)
Hi everyone!
Here is RADO theme for REAPER III by Nick Moritz!!!
Big thanks to OXO for the "Sand" version of RADO!
BIG THANKS to EvilDragon for correcting and organizing the toolbar icons.
Also thanks to AdamWathan for the missing extra buttons!
And thanks to other fellows who helped me...
If you like this theme I appreciate if you post a good word!

Notice!
In addition there is a zip archive "Cursors" which contains alternative Windows 7/XP cursors. You must use them instead of standard ones in Windows 7/XP, because standard Windows cursors become invisible on some areas of the theme.
Download Cursors
Replace folder "Cursors" in your Reaper folder with unpacked one.

Okay....going to throw out a REALLy stupid question....but I have to ask....LOL
On the pic, there are (or appear to be) three total sections. One is the FX Insert, some volume knobs, and then the routing.
Question is......where does that middle section come from? LOL. I've seen ReaVerb done, EQ, etc...but I can't figure it out.
Help?

Right-click the master track and select "Show FX parameters when size permits"
*edit*
...then click on the blank knobs to set the controls.

Love it
It's missing a few little things like send / receive or both indicators and perhaps a solo defeat icon but it's really good all in all! thanks

It definitely broke that old myth 'it looks great in the pic but maybe not so good when loaded'... I love it. Thanks.

Incredible work! Thank you so much for this. This should absolutely be the default theme for version 4. Perfect in every way.
Thanks for you hard work!

I know your feeling.
I just picked up a 3 issue bundle of Sound On Sound magazine.
The issues were from mid last year but there was a brilliant article on Reaper 3 which explained things to me what this daw can do.

Thank you. I'll be using this a lot.
Great balance but I'll be swapping out the automation buttons. But then I almost always criticize those buttons. Just ask anyone here.
Great theme.

hi nickmoritz,
good work with this theme.
...but what i don`t like so much is this one:
"If you like this theme you can support it by any donation or just say a good word!"
i mean you take 40% from other people work (different themes), then you mix it with your own elements and want a donation for that.
so normaly you should also make a donation to the guys of which you got the parts for your own theme.
this is the first time in this community that i see someone want money for something and i think this is going the wrong direction.
i dont want to be the bad guy here and have absolutely no problem when other people take parts from other themes (i do it myself) but i think it has something to do with respect.
i know how much work it takes to make a theme... the first one took me nearly 6 months.
sorry for my english.

That's OK. I understand your indignation
Maybe your are right or maybe not.
Tell me please this one. If I created music with free samples, can I earn money using them? Many people do this way...
More over - Donation is not necessary! It depends on good will of everyone.
In addition to say, I redraw almost every element of this theme (you can check it).
And created many others by myself (for example - all buttons on tracks and mixer)
For me it's indicates that people appreciate what I do! And I'm talking not only about this theme. You could have seen other free products on my page...
I hope you understand me

How do I install this?
I can't seem to install this theme. Normally, I just extract a theme into my Color Themes folder and I'm good. But, I've tried this several times and I can't seem to get it to work. And where are the graphics files? Weird.
Looks like a great theme.
Thanks.

What version of your Reaper?
What is your OS (Win or Mac)?
Where location of your Color Themes folder (if Win)?
All graphics in "RADO.ReaperIconsZip" file...

Hi nickmoritz,
Thanks for your reply.
I'm currently using Reaper 3.4.
I'm on Windows XP.
My Themes folder is here: C:\Program Files\REAPER\ColorThemes
I've had no trouble installing other recent themes like Apollo.
Thanks!

Oops!
I'm sorry nickmoritz!
Apparently, something has gone wrong with my system. I've installed plenty of themes recently and they worked fine. But, I just tried to install another theme just now and the same thing happened. So, apparently, the problem is on my end. Sorry if I caused you any problems! I should have done more investigating before posting.
Thanks.

No problems! Everything all right
Maybe you have to reset the Reaper settings or update Reaper?

Congratulations, it's the first theme I might use instead of Classic
Two minor requests :
- Would it be possible to have another version with the waveform being lighter ? I find it difficult to use black waveforms.
- And it's a bit difficult to read the labels (filename + effects name) on top of the takes : text is in black on top of black waveform.
Cheers
