Someone who know Walter should bring back Octave to life.

when I was your age themes didn't require a graphic artist, a UI coordinator, and a WALTER programmer to complete...

Bump.
I'm no themer, but maybe now that 4 is out, this thread could be moved to the themes section, and it might get noticed better, and some of the themer's could have a go at it. I have a few TCP layout ideals, but don't have the walter know how to do it.

Just thought I'd mention it.

Those "Oktane 2011" screenshots look a little bit SawStudio inspired

yikes, a kick in the butt bumping that thread is !
I should get back to work, kinda gave up once RADO 4 was out
(and because of my limited free time)

But indeed with v4 out now would be the time to work on it.

Im sure you remember that from a while ago.
Did you plan on keeping the same TCP for OCTAVE?
If you plan on keeping it the same, let me know and I can start building the TCP.

Brice - I was about to give up on you! If I had any coding skills at all I would love to help but as it is now I LOVE this theme.
For me it is about the most legible, comprehensible one out there, including Rado.

Those of you who can code, please please help him out with finishing and refining this theme.

And thanks again!

Here's what I got right now. Only worked on the TCP

P.S Is there anyone here that's really good at making toolbar icons and would like to pitch in?

I was so stoked to see Octave develop early in the beta. Visually its very attractive and its great to see that its getting picked up again.

While you guys are early in the TCP development, I would like to request a very small TCP layout as one of the layout options. I've made one of these in RADO, but it would be great to have one that can go even smaller -- like 8px or so -- to allow for very high track counts to be visible without scrolling.

Here is an example of how I have it set in RADO.

Looks nice, Jeffrey. The faders are a bit indistinct by comparison though.

This might be a dumb question but..What's that Circle to the left of the mute button in Brice's old mockup? Phase?

hey jeffrey/brice,

I'd like to help doing the walter... I don't have any walter skills at the moment, but programming is my daytime-job, therefore I think should be possible :-)

What do you think about a temporary share for the graphics/walter-scripts while defining the theme?

cheers

some downloaded the Octave mcp that I originally coded based on Brice's mockup.

In the recent reaper versions some things don't look good due to some changes in Walter since the mcp code was created. Mainly having to do with the changes in definition of the mcp sizes and those for the FX and sends. This causes some elements to be messed up when resizing the mcp.

Haven't given it any thought to correct it as there were no mockups at the time for other theme elements and forgot about it when the default theme turned out to be so amazing as well as the new Rado and Silent themes.

Oh, Octave slipped under the radar when I collected v4 theme threads to move them to the themes forum. Sorry for that. Nice to see development is rolling again Hopefully this more exposed place gets it moving faster.
