Midi Sync to Arrange View no longer functional for floating docked windows

Previously it was possible to float a docked midi editor over the arrange view with its opacity set to less than 100%, toggle Midi Sync to Arrange View, and then have the arrange view synced perfectly under the floated midi editor. This was great for copying grooves and beats into the midi editor. This no longer works. The zoom no longer syncs and the arrange view doesn't follow the settings of the midi editor when you scroll or zoom the midi editor.
Can this be addressed? Thanks!
