Default Processor benchmark for plugins

Hi people.

I am wondering what type of benchmark on https://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile...st.2436.0.html could be the best to reference for music production (think of processing tons of plugins in realtime as well as realtime CPU and video editing.

There are a bunch of benchmarks that focus on different things, many of those are 3D related.

Scan DAWbench are regularly testing processors specifically for VI and plugin performance.

http://www.scanproaudio.info/tag/dawbench/

Just don't expect to buy the cheapest pre-built computer with those processors and get anything like that performance.

Choose components carefully, avoid anything known to cause high dpc, make sure there's plenty of power and cooling....Or buy from a DAW specific builder.

Thank you for the answer. Their tests are great.

But that does not address the question. (Apart from a dedicated test like the one suggested), is there any standard benchmark in notebookcheck.com that could be analogous to DAW performance?

I am pretty sure many folks out there would be happy to have at least some reference to compare, without having to wait till somebody else does a specific test.

If you think the notebook check benchhmarks might be useful, why not compare existing DAWbench results to the benchmarks you think may work and see how they line up.
