Where to find Vst's on sale
Is there a big database, similar to Steam for videogames, but for Vsts that I can browse and find plugins on sale?

I don't know anything about Steam or video games, but KVR is probably the single most comprehensive clearinghouse for VSTs. It's an absolutely massive site, and they have a "deals" area for sales.

Bedroom Producers Blog and VST4Free are two more good resources. The latter is, as indicated, filled with free VSTs. Some are great and amazing.

Also gearslutz has a members area for deals and their discussion.
I tend to use that one to death when Black Friday rolls around.

I do not think you will skip any real deal (including free for short time, free for some magazine readers, etc.) if you follow larry. Also, when in doubt, you can ask how good the deal really is and/or what is the experience with the product.
Note that search is not working in that forum, use google with "site:..." to check what was the best price. F.e. Waves Platinum - $136...
