Default [solved] Select a note in MIDI editor without also selecting CC

Within the MIDI editor, is there a way to select / delete a note without also selecting / deleting it's CC values?

For example, suppose I've recorded some notes and while doing that I also recorded the MOD wheel CC01. Each note in the MIDI editor now has various CC01 values associated with it. If I delete the note, it's CC01 values are deleted. What if I want to keep the CC01 values after the note is deleted?

This becomes a problem when I've recorded a chord for example, while also recording the CC01 values. If I delete any note from that chord, the CC01 values associated with the chord are also deleted even though the rest of the notes from that chord remain and need their CC01 values.

Can I select a note without also selecting it's CC values?

Yes, there is an option in the MIDI editor: CC selection follows note selection. Just turn it off and you are good to go.

Thanks. That makes things a lot easier.

I found the button in the MIDI editor that controls that, but I'm surprised it doesn't appear in the options menu, or if it does, I didn't find it.

True, I couldn't find it either. The best place to search for things like these is the Action List. A lot of preferences are listed there as well.
