I like the slow build arrangement; I think that takes care of the "boring" element. To me it sounds just right. In some places, it seems to have an Irish lilt.

Yes. the music sounds celtic. Suresnes is a town that touches Paris. I made a Celtic music because at the beginning of the 20th century, many people came from brittany to work in Paris and they huddle in Suresnes workers housing.
So a little bit celtic to remember that, but not too much because we're nearby Paris and the breton workers emigration is nearly out of local memories now.
