midi lua request ...anyone? - Page 2

Hi Loka... hey do you think this same lua could be made to work with the Inline MIDI Editor as well???

I can add it to the Inline Ed's actions but it don't seem to recognize the selected notes so it sees nothing to copy...

Or if this one can't include the Inline Editor... could a version for the Inline Ed. be created????

what I'm saying is now ver. 1.30 runs from a track in the Inline Editor, but it does not actually work since it don't see the selected notes

scratch all that I said before....
I did not yet have the update ver. 1.31

I have no idea why the old version of the lua showed up.. but now it is the correct update 1.31

but now it all seems to be working just perfectly ...with only the Inline Editor open...
which is exactly what I wanted... so sorry for any confusion
and HUGE THANKS for this fast update... super kewl!!!

Ops... back again after more testing...

OK here is the story:

If you have a midi item open in the Inline Ed., some notes selected and call the lua... it will not see the notes...

but if you also have the item open in the normal MIDI Ed. then it will see the notes and work as expected....

and then you can close the normal MIDI Ed.window and continue in just the Inline Editor....

So apparently their is still a little something missing...

We would like it to work without the normal MIDI Ed. window needed to be open at all... right?

It works as intended on my end, as in the .gif I sent you. Just to clarify, are you selecting the *item* before trying to copy/apply? It won't work if you just mouse over the item (yet).

Uploaded 1.33, now installs the script in the action lists for Main, MIDI Editor, and Inline Editor. Hopefully that fixes any trouble.

OK OK OK!

I found and sorted out my own probs... and YES 1.33 is now working perfectly in all cases.... Yayyyyyyyy!

I'm gonna have my son [who really started all this...LoL] post a little promotion and explanation of why this lua is so kewl....
