Default A quick newbie fix for long delay in MIDI audio monitoring

So I've been away from Reaper and audio work in general, recently started again. Could not for the life of me figure out why I would depress a key on my Korg Nanokey and -- suddenly, today -- there was a horrible delay between the key being depressed and a sound happening! I'm reading and reading, trying to get ASIO4ALL to actually work, trying to get Reaper to accept ANY lower buffer/block size under ANY audio driver, etc., etc. Then I see a one-sentence answer on the Reaper Reddit forum: "Turn off any plug-ins on the Master track." I had put Ozone Elements on the Master track, lol. Disabled it, and the MIDI latency went back to acceptable. If my density helps anyone, yay!
