Unfortunatly, since last Win 11 update, Faderport is very unstable, and Reaper shows an error about "MIDI output device not responding" (Faderport), error that blocks the software and forces you to restart the PC.
Someone with a similar issue?
In your experience, for more stability, should I remove Faderport XP driver and install the original one by Presonus?

(Faderport Classic "v1" and Reaper 6.78 on Windows 11)

I haven't tested mine in Windows 11 though I don't think that should matter unless MIDI is somehow blocked. I assume you made sure not to enable Faderport in MIDI devices and only enable it in the control surfaces settings? And make sure you choose FaderPortXT instead of the default that comes with reaper.

Yes, the setting is exactly this, and I haven't made any changes.
I assume that Reaper in any case consider messages from e to Faderport MIDI messages, so it indicates MIDI error, even if Faderport is not actived as MIDI device in the dedicated box.

I hooked mine up to my fairly new Windows 11 machine just now. I just moved from a Windows 10 machine to this new machine and haven't hooked the FaderPort up yet.

Seems to work as expected. You seem to be thorough enough so just some sanity checks like a different USB port, make sure the device shows up in task manager etc. Sounds like it's hanging up trying to talk to the device in general via USB.

Not sure if you have an update my machine doesn't, but mine's current as far as I know.

what download would you recommend for a classic faderport 1
to use in windows 11?
I think I can use usb 2 as I put a USB 2 card in the build.

Thanks again
The only mistake I made was not placing the 64 in I did not know it was a lib one.
Going good enough for me anyway.
The unit seems to be better functioning than it did under previous windows programs.
Awesome.

Default Struggle to get faderport to Connect With REAPER well

Hey everyone! so i have been using the Faderport with reaper and it's been OK with it's functionality. I really can just do basic transport and Volume automation. But when I'm trying to scroll through tracks it will do this thing where sometimes it will grab two tracks and then sometimes it scroll up while i am scrolling down. Like just very randomly jumping all over the place.

I tried using this thing called 'Reasonus' which didn't really work
https://navelpluisje.github.io/reaso...rport/#welcome

I have used it in Logic and Live mode (powering on and holding down 'Next' and then either 'Mute', or 'Arm'. (where is seems to be happiest.)

I am seeing that most people here just have to turn it on and its happy. idk what I am missing or if someone can walk me thru this. I am just so confused as to why all these options haven't worked for me. Let me know. Thanks everyone!

Realvent information:

Universal Control is 4.2.0.9
firmware on the faderport is v3.74
Running OSX 12.3
REAPER 7.11
