Default API: gfx.getdropfile accepting MediaItems

I would like to code a clipboard for media items in Lua.
For this, I would like to drop MediaItems into a gfx-window and later drag n drop it back into the project.

The latter is possible already but the former is quite difficult, since dragging a MediaItem into a gfx-window might cause scrolling of the arrangeview(like when my gfx-window is docked next to the arrangeview).
So I would like to be able to use gfx.getdropfile to get a dragged MediaItem and override possible scrolling of the arrangeview, when I dragged the mouse above my gfx-window that's using gfx.getdropfile.

I tried to do it via ProjectBay but it's a little overkill and since the bay is not programmable, I can not minimize it the way I want it to be.

The clipboard-script is intended for users of Ultraschall, who would be too overwhelmed by the project bay but still need a simple way of storing/managing items quickly.
