Default Clone Setup between Mac and PC

Hi

Most of my Reaper work is done at home on my iMac.

However, sometimes I need to go out and record/edit on my Windows laptop.

What's the most reliable way of ensuring that the two installations are as similar as possible ie preferences, hotkeys, themes, additional scripts etc.

Basically (aside from differences in the two keyboards, and any plugins I have which don't run on both platforms) I'd like them to behave identically as far as possible.

Thanks for any help.

Does import/export config work cross platform? If so you could only export/import the settings you want to keep them congruent.

Answer - I don't know (I haven't tried it yet).

My guess is that this wouldn't be able to automatically detect which ReaPack extensions / scripts I have installed on one system and load them onto the other for me...? Not sure also about themes which I've downloaded onto one system but not the other.

If there's a way of automating those customisations, I'd be extremely happy indeed.

If you go to preferences > general > export, it lists all the files that it is saving. Themes are one of them as I've seen them in the list.

Fair enough- I'll investigate.

Thanks for the help.
