eugen2777: man, you are a pure genius – thank you :-) Maybe one little wish – expand the range of the MIDI output notes value a bit – 2 octaves could be enough for many of MIDI drum instruments – thank you again.

Hey Radekdolezi:
Did you get the script to run?
I keep getting the following Lua Script Error:
Drum to MIDI Eugen.lua:1: function arguments expected near 'Trigger'

dug dog, it's JSFX, not a script.
Copy file to ../REAPER/Effects folder

Thanks.

This is very good. The only problem is the velocity curve at the bottom right doesn't seem to save with the reaper session.

Hmmm... you're right. It won't save as a preset either. Oh well... I still love it.

I have used REAPER for some time but mostly with third party plugins. Unfortunately I have no experience with JSFX or scripts.
Thanks

Happily EUGEN2777 releases his great work via ReaPack, so it is easily installed.
Supposedly "Drum Trigger" will be added there soon.
Unfortunately he does not provide an "About" section with his distributions, so his great work is not easily found and usable.
Happily I can do EEL programs myself, so I am positive that I will find out how the JSFX plugin can be set to work, once I might need it.

I don't know the best way to do this but, I think what I did, was to go into the Reaper>Effects folder and open a JS effect with a text editor (any one will do). From the github page, select all the text then right click> copy and then replace all the text in the JSFX file you've opened with the github text. Then Save As "Drum Trigger v1" in that same Reaper>Effects folder.
I hope this makes sense.

I notice it doesn't save the velocity curve in the lower right window which is a pain since I have to reset those curves every time I start mixing fresh. It's an excellent plug/script/JS thingie(?) thanks much.
On a side note, does anybody know where I can find the original script for the JS drum trigger? I seem to have overwritten it during my fumbling attempts at adding this.

Thanks Dug, but I meant the original script for JS drumtrigger.
I have the script as pictured, but I screwed up and overwrote the original script. Can't seem to get it back.

Oops... I misunderstood. Sorry about that.
If you rename the version of drumtrigger that you currently have and then re-install Reaper, the original version of drumtrigger will be installed.
You probably know this bit already, but the drumtrigger plug is located in your Reaper resources file under Reaper>Effects>midi

Right! Thanks Dug. Of course I should have been able to figure that out. The hard part if finding the stuff I should know in this messy brain lol. Inside my head i have good focus but no peripheral vision.

Found another issue I think: The send notes in the drop down list appear to only go from 36 to 47.
Much as I dig this trigger, I'm afraid it's virtually useless until it's finished. Every time I punch up a mix I have to fight with it for a half hour.
