Recording line-in with Soundblaster Play!3
I purchased a Soundblaster Play!3 USB interface for use with my PC since the on-board sound suffers a lot of interface from the internals of the computer and this interface had good reviews regarding the playback quality for the price.
I want to hook up my record player and make recordings in Reaper but the input is detected as a microphone input by Windows 10 and sounds terrible. I am not even sure there's proper stereo separation, despite it being a stereo input.
I downloaded the proper software from the Creative site but there's no options there that help.
I am using the on-board line in, in the meantime. It sounds good though and doesn't suffer any interference like the output channels did so I am almost satisfied but would have preferred to use the Play!3 for both recording and playback.
Is there anyway to get the mic-in working as a line-in?
