Default Linux, HiDPI/4k: cursor size

Hi,

I'm using Reaper on a 4k screen with 150% scaling without problems. The Reaper theme and my plugins are scaling correct and it looks great. Just one thing is not scaling like it should, the mouse cursors in Reaper, they are super small. I tried different cursor themes for my desktop environment, different settings for the cursor size, different cursor themes from the Reaper stash, nothing worked. Does anyone got a tip for me? Thanks!

Unfortunately, I haven't found a way to fix this exact problem. I've changed my system cursors, but whenever they are over ancient GTK windows, they fall back to the default one. A bit annoying, but well.

Linux Mint 21.1 here, based on Ubuntu 22.04 jammy

Since the last major update i had the same problem. The fix for that was to enter in terminal:
sudo update-alternatives --config x-cursor-theme

In my experience, the cursor scales correctly when I use KDE on Wayland (as opposed to Xorg). Perhaps that's something you could try.

Another approach would be to "theme" the cursors using the scaled versions of the standard cursors that come with Reaper. I haven't really tested this, but I tried replacing one cursor and it worked.

Here are some instructions:
https://www.reaper.fm/sdk/cursors/cursors.php
https://www.howtogeek.com/109369/how...inux-terminal/

For example, to fix the size of the pencil cursor in the piano roll, take `pencil.cur` from the Reaper's installation directory, create a bigger version using `convert`, and put as `midi_draw.cur` in your resource path.

Thanks. Will try to resize the cursors with convert.
