Custom scripts and pedals or any other MIDI controller

Hi...

I am building some scripts and all work flawleslly via keyboard shortcuts, but when trying to trigger them from any of the many controls available in my hardware such as sliders, buttons, knobs, pedals, I cannot.

All controls listed do work indeed, as using any with the corresponding settings via its own software produces the appropiate action in the project, be it a panpot, tremolo, reverb, bending up or down... anything.

But when I try to assign any of those controls to a script by going

Actions - Show action list...- single click on desired ReaScript - Add...
I see MIDI CC grayed and showing Absolute.

How assign then each of my four pedals or any other control so as to trigger the corresponding custom script, please ?

Did you enable this midi input port for control? Then it should work.
Preferences, Audio, MIDI Devices, MIDI Inputs, select your midi input port, double click, enable checkbox 'Enable input for control message'.

I did that long ago.

Currently the MIDI hardware settings window says...

Device FANTOM-6 7 8 Mode Enable+Control ID 0
Device FANTOM-6 7 8 DAW CTRL Mode Enable+Control ID 1
Device FANTOM-6 7 8 MIDI IN Mode Enable+Control ID 2

All had Enabled input for control messages set to Source channel.

Then went trying whith channel 1 on all but it is the same.

The MIDI CC still grayed.

Not knowing your exact scenario (not having this device), I can give only general tips.
1. Disabling first all midi inputs.
2. Enabling one by one, just to see which is working, when used alone.
Maybe this technique helps a bit. Worth trying. Or some other Fantom experts here maybe. DAW control sounds interesting, just from its name.
