Armed Track I/P max-Clipping / Feedback?

Hi Guys,
It’s been quite some time since my last call here. I’m making slow but significant progress learning many tasks through manuals and online tutorials. But every once in a while something pops up adding yet more delay to creative tracking. And no matter how much reading, searching trial & error, one is left stumped for answers!!

My problem is, whenever I arm any track for recording, I’m getting max-red-clipping, like something is stuck offering ghastly feedback!! I tried updating the firmware for Presonus S68c interface, no joy. I checked the audio recording preferences settings, is it too low a block size at 64bit?

Any help on this most appreciated.

Try muting all outputs while you record.
If that gets rid of the feed back, narrow down which output is feeding back by unmuting them one by one.

Hey Thanks Philbo! Sorry I've been away for a while. Work commitments and endless home distractions always dictate my activity flow here. I'm gonna give your suggestion a shot!!

Make sure loopback function is off in the interface control panel.
