Reaper can’t locate libasound.so.2
I’m trying to install Reaper on my Mint machine. The install completes but when I try and launch the program I get an error about missing libasound.so.2, even though it is I stalled on the system.
I get this error when the program is at the tarballs extract location or in either of the install locations provided by the installer script. Would someone be able to help out? Those are the console messages: $ ./reaper ./reaper: error while loading shared libraries: libasound.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory $ sudo apt-get install libasound2 Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done libasound2 is already the newest version (1.1.0-0ubuntu1). 0 to upgrade, 0 to newly install, 0 to remove and 385 not to upgrade. |

Reaper can’t locate libasound.so.2, after upgrade to Reaper 6.34 from 6.32
Similar to above.
In my case I performed an update from 6.32 to 6.34 on Linux Mint 20.2. Reaper will not start. When I try to run it from the command line, i get the following error message reaper: error while loading shared libraries: libasound.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory (libasound2 is already the newest version (1.2.2-2.1ubuntu2.4)) |

If you install the i686 instead of the x86-64 on an AMD64 64-bit system, you will also get this error message.
