Default Surge XT TAPE emulator

Folks, if you are looking for a "tape" simulation plug-in...

... you might already have it!

Surge XT synthesizer also works in FX mode.

And it has a blast of a tape emulation mode.

Check it out!

Yes I think you are spot on.
But realizing you already have it...
BTW, the CHOW is a separate FX mode, there is also TAPE, which is more intricate.

Thanks for the insight!

And under the Multieffects|Airwindows section you've got ToTape and Iron Oxide.

It all sounds good, thanks! I wish I had more knowledge and experience in emulation and simulation. Unfortunately, I'm clueless about all this stuff, but it seems that the mentioned emulator is a good way to finally learn it.

Actually, it is not as complicated as it seems. Software testing tools save a lot of time and usually, they are easy to use. Give the emulator a try and I'm sure you will figure everything out. In case you want to find out more, I suggest checking the info about simulate vs emulate to understand the difference between these two types of testing.
