Anyone here successfully using a BCF with an M2 Mac?
I can't seem to get my BCF2000 online with my M2 equipped Macbook. I have downloaded BC Manager and the MIDI VU is showing activity when I move faders but when I scan for B-controls nothing appears and it remains 'offline' in the personality column.
I'm using firmware 1.1 and BCF2000 is showing up as a MIDI device within Reaper. Now, I have not installed any drivers on this machine as the BCF2000 MIDI ports were showing up when I plugged it straight in. Are there drivers required?
Anyone using the same config (or even M1) that had a similar issue they resolved? Any help appreciated.

I am rather sure that you don't need dedicated Midi drovers for the BCF - or that the problem has anything to do with the kind of CPU.

Amazed anyone still using these as pretty cumbersome Compared to even a cheap DJ controller these days,
Anyways my sig has the v old bcf collection thread for those prepared to read, but I bet there are videos now..
If ports seen by reaper it seems config in reaper is your issue

Clunky - maybe! But I own it and the faders are motorised so I'll avoid buying again if I can. There are many vids on how to set the BCF up with Reaper up but nothing with M1 or M2 machines which seems to me to be the only difference between my old Mac which the BCF worked with and my current laptop.

Yeh they were the beans back in the day. As with most bcf antics it seems you may just have to figure it out!

If the new computer is the problem, supposedly no Midi device hooked to it will work.

I think I had already broken mine by the time I got my M1 mac, but on windows at least, my BCF never worked right on USB3 hubs. Maybe that helps?

Good point! My hub has only USB3 ports on it. More experimentation ahead.

Oooops, the BFC does not work on USB3 ports ?
That is weird (but essentially possible). (USB3 is supposed to be completely backwards compatible).
But Apple never was fond of USB .

on my PC it was coming up with a different name in reaper depending on the port I connected to. A good chunk of one of my streams was used up troubleshooting it. https://youtube.com/live/2wkWm8Q0FBQ?feature=share

The BCF has midi ports...
connect via the midi ports with 5din to a working midi interface
then use in B-control mode and test with a midi monitor program

additionally, where your BCF is connected via the midi interface...
then the interface becomes the device(BCF2000)
basically if you had the BCF2000 connected through a audio-interface via 5din midi... then that audio interface becomes the defacto device name for the BCF2000
