Request:
Insert marker with custom name/color/other up to 10 presets.
Usage:
Recording an audio book or other dialog where you might do multiple takes and cover multiple sections/chapters without stopping.
If I could insert a regular marker at beginning of each take and custom marker #1 at start of each chapter it would make organization and editing after the session faster and smoother.
Open to workarounds. Feel free to PM me if you have an idea.

you want a marker to have a certain:
name
color
...other? what's other?
I suggest you continue this request in script sticky request.

When I a create cycle actions they can only show up in the Main section. Is this a bug or is there a special way to do this?

Is SWS/BR: Move tempo marker broken ?
Seems I can't get it to work here (first time I tried to use these actions, so maybe user error ?)

Ah, you have to select tempo markers in the tempo map. Press alt+T to show it:

SWS or other dev, could you take a look at this?
move cursor to item peak sample
this action is broken when it comes to stretch markers.
Is this related to srcpos bug, and does this affect "audioaccessor"?
Are all "audioaccessor"-related actions broken when using stretch markers?
Do you think this will be fixed in the near future?

I'm getting errors when I try to build the project. Seems that a whole bunch of function arguments have changed in reaper_plugin_functions.h (freshly generated from 4.60rerc1). What gives?

yeah.. some API changed a bit (constantifications mostly, for EEL API support I guess) will commit the "fix" later today!

A few words about that, as it was just one part of the story actually
Yeah... That was the 2nd time google throw us into trouble. "Support the open source community by providing a [...] reliable development environment [..]" they said. Haha! No, Google is NOT your friend. [OT]BTW and or the record... This company -which obviously enjoys giving lessons and teaching us "good pratctises"- is being prosecuted by the French government for massive tax thievery, > 1 billion euros: biggest thievery ever seen in France (!)[/OT]
Anyway.. We had to find a new web server, urgently.
We were discussing these issues with Tim but the discussion totally drifted like => New server? => New domain name? => New name for the extension !??
... fortunately, we stopped the discussion at this point
We were thinking that "SWS" or "SWS/S&M" was not very nice for other project members, or at least, not representative of its collaborative effort...
May be Tim will tell you more about that...

Saving SWS track notes in track templates ?
Seems like SWS track notes are not stored when saving a track (or several) as track templates.
(At least here, could anyone confirm or not ?)
I just wanted to do it in a situation where I'd have found it quite useful.
If so, could this maybe be added please (if it's easy to do) ?

... or not! haha!
Well, this sounds complicated now...
... but if we had to rename the extension, I'd propose: Humble Add-ons In REAPER - aka the "HAIR extension".
Oh yeah... that's bad! Boooo, bad Jeffos, bad!
Hummm... Actually I'd say it's not bad enough, I'm looking for something soooo bad, that it becomes excellent (if you see what I mean).
Any bad ideas to propose?

Confirmed: track notes are saved at project level, I mean extension plugins can store "per track" data but at project level, not in the track itself.
Would be nice, there's no way around AFAICT.

I had that message reported in post #1420, i felt that something was going one but i didn't know that there was a new website (and new betas !) until... today :P
I feel a bit stupid, but, well, this new website is gorgeous
more screenhots and GIF of basic actions could be good !
and the new actions... awesome !
Thanks to the developpers !

I was using the SWS beta #4 to run a startup action (set to F7 screenset). I keep getting Microsoft Visual C++ errors, at what appears to be the point the SWS dll is loaded, when I start Reaper.
Deleting the startup action seems to have stopped this?

What kind of errors? Just today I reinstalled your normal Win XP SP3 for someone and everything (latest reaper and latest SWS) was working out of the box (including startup action that loads the screenset)

v2.4.0 #4 (March 13, 2014)
SWS/BR: Move closest (measure) grid line to mouse cursor (may create tempo marker)
Hint: There is an interesting effect if you keep shortcut key pressed while moving the mouse - grid/tempo marker will follow it. The only con is that a bunch of undo points will get created
|
Damn, this rocks !
Graphical tempo mapping, warp grid style.
Thank you !
(sorry for the a bit clumsy gif, just to get it across)

Since I often use a lot of tempo markers, I am very excited about this new way to move/create them Thank you!
@X-raym. The extensions can also check for updates if your DAW is connected to Internet. set it in the About window.

heres a screenshot of the error
initially i thought it was only happening when i was using ASIO drivers, but its happening with directsound too.
this is using the Beta #4 thats on the sws website. I also tried the 2.4.0 #3 and it still happens. Im using Reaper 4.602 x64 on Win 7 64. I notice that the error occurs while Reaper is starting, just after the startup splash says its loading the sws .dll
also if i delete the SnM startup action, it doesnt happen.
finally, its a really bad crash, i cant even use the task manager to kill reaper.exe, the only way i can seem to end it is to log out/shut down. i noticed once it happens, it tends to keep happening a bunch of times, requiring a logout each time. but then eventually it stops? i dunno, its really erratic and confusing

Strange. Maybe you could use guidelines from this thread: http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=36653
to search for a crash log.

These don't look like SWS problem (well, not directly as it seems for now). You should definitely head out to Issue Tracker forum and submit a report :/

you sure? it only happens when i have the SnM startup action set for the default project template.
if im having crashes, i can get into the default template .RPP file with sublime text, and just remove the SnM_PROJACTION node, and it will work fine. if i put that node back in the .RPP source, or add it again in Reaper and save the template, then restart, crashes start up again.
and as i said, it seems to occur during startup just around the time the sws plugin loads/the startup action fires

Startup action actually gets called only after extension gets loaded (it gets called on project load, which happens after SWS load). The report says faulting module is reaper.exe so it happens inside reaper, not SWS. SWS may be causing it, but we can't tell without any way to reproduce this.

its hard to tell if it happens as SWS is loading, or just after. my guess would be just after, since SWS by itself isnt causing the crash, only the project startup action triggers it - so it must be getting to that point

this crash should be fixed when REAPER 4.61 will be out, or now with v4.61pre8+ (can you confirm?)
it's not due to the startup action but to the screenset part of it....
