Default Dom & Roland - Macro / SWS - How to setup?

Greetings All,

After a long hiatus, I'm back making music with Reaper, and currently setting up a number of custom functions - some for my own workflow, but also have been reading about the following - and re-watching the CM video from early 2017.

In the following article, Dom alludes to the following (hope it's ok to link to this -https://darkartmasters.tumblr.com/post/57628826338/artist-spotlight-dom-roland)

Referring to customer Reaper macro / SWS I assume (forgive my poor explanation)

"One i set up recently for beats does this: find all transients, split at transients, quantize to grid setting, force legato, apply crossfades one millisecond before transients…like Pro Tools’ Beat Detective."

Out of interest, how would the above be achieved? Via a group of custom actions - or are we moving into scripting? I much prefer working with audio, and the visual feedback and 'cleanliness' of Reaper say vs Ableton is a godsend. Any hints or tips on how the above could be achieved would be most helpful.

Cheers,

-The Good Dr
