Default Reaper's Video Fx compiling problem

Hi,

I can easily render a video out of some pictures with a background music with Reaper. But when I want to add some effects when changing from one picture to the next (e.g. blurring) it says there is a code compilation error.

I followed this link: https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=213832

Then I came to each link, copied the relevant code (for example for blur) then pasted them as explained in the above link. When I push control S for saving the code it says compiling error. For example : "line 40: 'gfx_evalr"

Everyone seems happy with those codes but they don't work on my system. Why ?

I'm on XP 32-bit, Reaper version 5.32

Thanks

Try to update to the last 5.xx version or update to 6.28 and check whether you still have this issue.

Before I'd like to know if a simple syntax correction would do it

You can upgrade and then downgrade. Did it work before?

I never tried it before; this is the first time and all I wan to do is simply passing from one picture to another with some blur or equivalent effect at crossover moment

Upgrade and downgrade. Your version may be uncompatible with that presets.

This should probably say "gfx_evalrect", so you have either not copied and pasted the whole code, or you introduced some line breaks where none should be.

If you hit F1 when you have the video processor window open, you will get the documentation for the available functions.

Or you can look here: https://mespotin.uber.space/Ultrasch...mentation.html

That preset requires gfx_evalrect() which was added in 5.95 but extended in later versions... try the latest 5.x if you insist on using 5.x, but you should probably use 6.x

That's what I said.
