Default [6.32] When importing several files, the "single track/separate tracks" appears late

Reaper 6.32 x64
Windows 10 x64

When I drag recent field recording wav-files into Reaper, the prompt to place them on a single track or to place them on separate tracks only appears after a few of the files have already been placed. Sometimes, it seems to appear after the first file. Just now, it seemed to appear only after the third or second file.

I get this behaviour when dragging from the file explorer directly into the Reaper arrange window.

This issue is a bit cumbersome at times, when I've got long 96k/24-bit files imported from a rather slow SD-card. I can't leave my PC until the prompt appears.

By "file explorer" do you mean REAPER's media explorer? Or Windows explorer?

I mean the Windows explorer.

I just tested by using the Reaper Media Explorer, and it doesn't seem to happen using that. Also tried dragging in the same files using the Windows File Explorer, but the issue didn't appear. Maybe it only happens when transferring from external drives.

Edit: The dialog appeared after two files had finished importing after dragging 7 files from a connected Sony D100 recorder.

Here's a video where I was able to reproduce the bug, just to prove I'm not crazy:

Bumping. Still an issue in 6.53.

It happens when using the Media Explorer as well. I usually get it while transferring files from a Sony PCM-D100 using 96k, 24-bit files.

The prompt seems to appear after about half the files are copied to the project folder.

Still present in 6.81.

If I import three files, I usually get the prompt after the second file has finished copying. I have it set to copy media into the project folder, to a subfolder named "Media".

I usually do this from an external SD-card reader (portable recorder, Sony D100).
