Default Space and Time - All Acoustic 90s Grunge/Rock Song

Hi all,

Well, after a long writing pause, the flood gates have opened on writing an acoustic guitar ballad. Here is a second song to "Second Face". Feedback welcome before I fine tune it or can it if you think it sucks!

It is not perfect - some parts my singing is off key (I will NOT autotune it, I will record it again - Glenn would be proud of me!), the guitars could do with a mic'ed up recording and the solo needs to be sharped up.

SPACE AND TIME
(Words by Jonathan Linton, Music by Jonathan Linton)

I wish I could have met you
In a diff’rent space and time
Fate intervened
The planets didn’t align

Metaphysical union
In a different paradigm
Opportunity’s window
Expired access time

Point of singularity, has past its prime
Could’ve been so different
In different place
Diff’rent space and time

Sometimes my mind time, travels
To a diff’rent space and time
Emprisoned words
Freed to the sublime

Light year apart I feel that
In a different paradigm
Unspoken words remain
Frozen in your mind

Point of singularity, has past its prime
Could’ve been so different
In different place
Diff’rent space and time…….

SOLO

Point of singularity, has past its prime
Could have been so different

If we retrace
That lost embrace
In different space and time…….

Different space and time
Different space and time

I quite enjoyed this, sounds like an unplugged version of the song.

Not perfect or polished, and not meant to be.

I really like this.Great voice.Reminds me a bit of,"Moby" Good mix,great playing and Vocals.

Drums could do with a little,"Sparkle".Try adding a Vocal Exciter on the drum track's and a bit of top with it,but not too much. It's just one of the tricks I use

Hi there,

Thanks for the feedback! Which Vocal Exciter do you use?

Liked the new version. Missed it last time I was here (so always update the OP).
I also liked the guitar sound.

Ditto on the drum comments.

I would leave the stick-rim shot sooner and get to a punchier snare quicker - more drum presence would ground the song for the rest to float around better.

I also like the 'richness'. It has some good ambiance.
