Let's all ponder and discuss that here for a bit first. Locked items can be edited via the MIDI editor, media item properties, right clicking, etc... so I'm not sure.
Ok. I thought locking = preventing from all changes.
In reality it's mostly just locked from moving/resizing/and such, things that you're likely do to clicking in the arrange view. For example, you can still duplicate takes, change takes via actions, etc, but clicking the inactive takes in the item won't switch takes...
