OMG JS:Oscilloscope is awesome
I just noticed it actually triggers like a real scope if you choose trigger:ascend or trigger:descend. That feature alone makes it one of the most useful virtual scopes out there, especially if you are interested in seeing your synth's output.
Also the JS: spectrum analyzer is pretty well featured.

I haven't tried, but I would guess you can change the colors if you click edit.

I've tried...can't figure it out. I can usually figure out the basic code for the JS, but this thing makes my head spin trying to read through it...

They appear to just be floating point representations of 0-255 (or whatever the range is) for RGB . So, this should be red...
gfx_r=1.0; gfx_g=0.0; gfx_b=0.0
And this Blue
gfx_r=0.0; gfx_g=0.0; gfx_b=1.0
and this yellow...
gfx_r=1.0; gfx_g=1.0; gfx_b=0.0

i know how to set the colors, i was just unable to find this in the code.
the code is pretty "busy" (and colorful) so my eyes hurt looking at it, but i'm sure its in there somewhere, i just haven't been able to find it...yet.
thanks

CTRL+F then type the word color. Not chastising you, just seem like you really wanted to change them.

wow, thanks!
that was pretty easy...like..."i feel pretty embarrassed now" easy...
(i also never bothered trying "command+f" before now...because "control+f" doesn't work for me (mac)...)

Talking about JS oscilloscopes, check out Skope II from Anomaly ( http://sonic.supermaailma.net/). IMHO the best software oscilloscope. Also syncs with Reaper time selection. I use it all the time pure awesomeness.

It doesn't work very well, though, constantly false-triggering and flipping the waveform upside down.
Also it shows the individual samples as bars instead of interpolating (ideally it should show both)
Skope II is interpolated and triggers better, but trigger is still jittery, it doesn't trigger at Trigger Threshold = 0 for some reason, and it has a big bunch of control sliders taking up space.
s(M)exoscope triggers nicely and interpolates, but only shows one channel at a time.
Any others I should look at?

Signalizer is suited both for electrical/audio engineers fullscreen-inspecting signals

Well... there it is.

I didn't even know it was in there. Just the other day I was trying to look at a narrow band of the low frequencies of a ribbon mic (to check the ribbon tension), and I could have used it. Thanks for mentioning it.

Yeah, it's just that Signalizer does a fair amount more and generally better in a bunch of ways, and it's free (and cross-platform too).

I only wish that we had some cheap crossplatform interface for electrical stuff (with a plenty high frequency range) to use with signalizer. Maybe there is something out there that I am not aware of.

Smexoscope or Melda Mosciliscope for me. Both free.

When using the osci the waveform is always using. Changing the trigger mode does not change anything. Shouldn't there be something like a trigger level also?

Signalizer Install
Signalizer is awesome looking but how do you install? Do you just need to install the .dll or do I need to install some of the other folders?
TIA

Just drop it in to your vst folder that reaper is set to scan and reaper will pick it up when it sees it.
