Okay I installed all 5 repos with no errors and I see hundreds of scripts! Wow, so easy. Will let you know if I notice any errors with the beta.

This sounds like a firewall interfering with the download or a network issue. Though ReaPack is set to timeout after ~15 seconds with no significant network activity.

This might be a stupid question but...
I found this nice script:
http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=155582
Is there any way I can incorporate the script into ReaPack, so it get's automatic updates? I believe no because it's just a file/package on stash...
It would be nice to see it also in the list.

Hello
My scripts won't be available in Reapack but various reasons I'll explain. I think Reapack is very good though.
I've been working in an automatic update system too for some months. When I started to do it, Reapack was missing some features I needed. Now I think it has them but I already have also my system almost finished. It's not as good as Reapack but it works for what I need. You will be able to automatically update my scripts very soon.
Thanks

@Sumalc
ReaPack is built using modern technologies that OS X 10.6 does not support, unfortunately.
@Curtis
They are downloadable from the browser, which doesn't work for you... Probably because of a firewall/proxy/network configuration issue but it's hard to say.

Where does it say those scripts are included? It says "easy access" which is correct. If you have issues with internet access, it is not devs' fault. Get a firewall that you can control or otherwise fix it where it's broken. No need to be rude.

This extension is so amazing! Thanks for all the hard work!!!
Just one question: Will spk77 add some more of his scripts in future? There are at least three crucial ones that I had to add manually. Or could someone else add them to the repo? What are the criteria for scripts to be added (I gues it's about the name and the header, etc.)?
I am speaking about - Link FX parameters
- Quantize strech marker positions by X percent
- Item Inspector - Take Mixer

I have to look that they are bug free and possibly rewrite them in Lua.

Haha sorry for writing in third person here :P
Glad to hear you're going to have a look at them. There are so many more useful scripts you made in the past but I guess it's a bit of a pain in the backside to get through all of them... Anyway, appreciate that you take the time!

ReaScript Name: Create ReaComp sidechain routing from selected track and track under mouse cursor
* Lua script for Cockos REAPER
* Author: Michael Pilyavskiy (mpl)
mpl, how exactly does one use this script?
Thanks

@Plazma, @all
If you have problems with scripts in particular, please check the source code of the script to see if there is a dedicated thread, or at least a way to contact the author directly.
This thread is dedicated to ReaPack extension itself, not to scripts that you can download with it.
@Curtis
You are asking for assistance once again, after having publicly said that you don't want to bother with this extension, that you are not interested by what it does because of data miner etc...
And still, in all your message, no "thanks for your work", "thanks for your extensions", "thanks for your service" or anything that would encourage free contributors in anyway, not even a simple "hello".
So, if you want someone to take you hand at every single click, you can't expect that it will happen from here anymore. Like every other 1000 users, you can just read the online docs, watch online videos, read article... and just figure it out by yourself.
ps: you misspelled ReaPack in your last post title. It is ReaPack, like REAPER not Repack, like REPER...
@timothys_monster
Glad you like it :P you were one of the early Lua scripts adopters, so it is cool that you appreciate this new way to share scripts

Yeah, I remember. LUA was taking REAPER scripting to a whole new realm. And out of the dark there came X-Raym and HeDa, haha!
Slightly off-topic, but you should check your inbox, man. I am waiting for a reply

You select the source track, then hover over the destination track and run the script. It adds a send on the source track, ReaComp on the destination track with source as sidechain input. Neat, I'll use this one. mpl has some great scripts, "Float instrument on selected track" fixes one of the biggest design flaws in REAPER.

I did all of that. I tried to PM the author of the script (could not). I posted in the Q&A section - no replies. So after waiting 2 days I posted my question here.
My bad.

In the OP there's a link to the manual.
I'd truly appreciate everyone to show a bit of respect for what's been done here by these kind gentlemen. Ask nicely, otherwise figure out things for yourself. Make a good use of the words "please" and "thanks".
Thank you

No, it's spelled "colour" in the English language. Whatever the uneducated hillbillies and street kids of Trumplandia call their language is irrelevant.

filtering
Now that it is installed. I open actions how do you filter reappack item from the other items in actions, I saw no mention of this in the app notes. The purpose is so that the beta item from reappack don't end up in the current project till reappack is proven to be safe to use.

Can we download and update Eugens scripts yet ?
I heard a rumor that's already possible. Maybe I missed that. I tried giving the extension the URL of the index file in his repository and it didn't work yet.
There are some pretty good scripts in that repository, including a sample editor.

I was thinking, maybe the thread name could be more descriptive to help raise awareness of this awesome tool. Something like "ReaPack: User script database download manager" or something in that vein. Of course, it also deals with JSFX, so "script database" might not be entirely accurate, but the term "package" is a bit ambiguous IMHO.

Very cool to be so open. You're also on my list of providers to donate to, I've ended up using many of your scripts on a regular base.
My post was mostly prompted by X-Raym's constant focus on money. Since extensions, scripts, themes and such are first and foremost benefiting Cockos, perhaps if one is in this business for the money, could be best to strike a deal directly with them.
Otherwise, just be happy if people donate something, and they will if they find the stuff useful. It just may take some time.

(sorry, deleted post before your answer)
X-Raym just says directly to people what we actually have in mind and too lazy or modest to say it.
I think Cockos like what we do (at least Justin said that), but they can't reply something to this thread, because many things from ReaPack and ReaPack itself already can not be free or donation-based as regular scripts since some of them are hard pieces of complex code.
OK my English is poor to explain properly, so in short, I mean, the politics of supporting from Cockos should be changed somehow, if they want their product grows up.

Amazing idea and potential! I can't believe I just found out about it today.
A few thoughts/suggestions about the interface:
-Would be nice if it was re-sizable.
-Show/hide columns and change column order.
-Add a column for comments (which can be hidden) so the author can provide a more meaningful description and doesn't need to try to cram it all into the script title.
-Link to the script author's webpage (maybe when right-clicking on their name). That way it could be easy if someone gets a lot of benefit from a script and wishes to make a small donation to show appreciation.
-This might not be so easy, but a way for users to rate scripts that can be synced with the repos. That way when a new user first opens ReaPack and sees 500+ scripts they could sort by community rating to get an idea of where to start by what others have found useful...

We are
And we are extremely thankful to any other users who also contribute to the community by also sharing (resources, tutorials, support time, infos etc), and even to the ones who just say "thank you". Knowing that our contributions are useful and helps to create nice projects is the most important thing for us. Sharing them for free is a way to make them most affordable as possible to any one, so they can appreciate our work.
And ReaPack really democratized our work, so again 1000 thanks to cfillion!!
