Default theme adjuster doesn't seem to be saving on exit

...is that how it's supposed to work? I have the latest RC (10b)

Have you deleted the old TA-script from your system, and then reloaded latest version into action resources?
And perhaps tried clean/nuke the reaper-themeconfig.ini before running updated TA-script and Default theme included with RC installs?

– after restart new settings recall as expected here (on mac). I’m using the script with undock/dock, not open/close.

I've had this reported a few times (this is all new functionality) and so far, as far as I'm aware, its come down to wrong versions / installation confusion. I'm afraid some detective work is required if you're willing, please see my reply here.

Hi WT!

After version 6.0rc9, it's okay. I didn't even need to delete the reaper-themeconfig file.

I hope the question below isn't silly.

I'm not a programmer and I don't want to be. I'm just a simple translator, but I liked that in version 6.0rc10 the addition of the String "Theme Adjuster" in the ReaperLangPack file and shown from the Path: Options=> Themes. I ask you: Wouldn't that be a way to start incorporating the 'Default 6.0 theme adjuster' menus into the ReaperLangPack file to translate them?

Thanks!

No, that's a menu item in Reaper, written by Justin.

You need language support for a script written by a dipshit (me). Its going to take some time!

I remember! You told me that after making version 6 official...I would remind you.
Only commented because, when I saw this addition of the string I was motivated to ask you.

Another thing.
I suggested a long time ago, to use something like this in the Transport of version 6.0:
[=] or [--] because it reminds me that there is a text inside the window, the text in front of the window is already enlightening.
It's uncomfortable to see [Pla... - at least for me.

PS: You're not a dipshit, you're a great guy! I'm a dipshit!

Thanks again!

I cannot reply to that post. This is what my reaper-themeconfig.ini says:

Code:
[Default_6.0]
param19=25
param22=100
param9=0
param12=0
param13=0
param14=0
param16=0
param15=0
param6=0
this is what it says after adjusting that parameter:

Code:
[Default_6.0]
param19=25
param22=100
param9=0
param12=0
param13=0
param14=0
param16=0
param15=0
param6=0

I am going to delete this file, or take a look and see if settings are somewhere else.

Cool, okay we're getting somewhere. That's the wrong file, since its not changing. Or, to look at it the other way, its the correct file and you're running the wrong script. Do you have multiple installs of Reaper?

I deleted the theme, deleted the script, and reinstalled, and now its basically a default dark theme haha...

gonna make a portable install and move that stuff over again...

no matter what I delete or do, nothing seems to make it save.

I moved over the script stuff, the theme, and the themeconfig.ini and it works now.

When I initially deleted those, the reinstall of reaper didn't put them back.

I am having this same issue on a new PC build with a clean install of Reaper 6. The .ini file does not save upon exiting.

I deleted the file and reinstalled Reaper on top of itself, as the OP did, and the file was not replaced.

I installed a portable version, made the edit I needed, and copied the .ini to my proper %appdata%\Reaper folder, opened the installed Reaper, and it still reverts to the default...

My .ini file currently reads as

Code:
[Default_6.0]
param22=100
param2=1
param1=1
and the timestamp does not change upon making changes in the theme adjuster, etc.
