Default Step sequencing in MIDI CC editor?

Hi,
Just wondering if there's a way to do Step sequencing in MIDI CC editor? There's a script that's called "insert cc or pitch at mouse position" that does the job, the only problem is you cannot replace an existing cc with this script, if you try running it over an existing cc event it will create another one overlapping it.
Anyone knows any better solution to this?
Thanks!!

I have just browsing through some stuff for CC automation and I have saw a thing called midiCCStepper - maybe it is for you - in pizmidi plugins here

What are your specific needs? This should be easy to achieve.

Thanks for the suggestions guys!
I've found a simple solution with the new features in 6.0 actually.
Just set default CC shape to square and use the default left click action in CC lane. Works better if you Tick the "Draw /edit events immediately on mouse click" option in mouse modifier.
