It has already been 2 years now since we started recording this album. The instrumental recordings actually only took us 3 days for 11 tracks. All of it was recorded live without headphones in a rehearsal room with maybe 3 to 4 takes for each song. Obviously using REAPER.
But since I am too busy working, It took me those two years to record the vocals and do the mixing. It is supposed to sound a bit raw and edgy, not too clean and far from quantized, haha.
Still, I would love to hear your opinion on the mix and general production.
@timothys_monster... Great song! Had me smiling much thru it! Im a sucker for this kinda stop/starting and the changes, the distorted vocals. Not quite so keen on the section at about 3 mins, but it soon changes again and then has a great ending
And that section at 3mins is a bit unnerving in a Jesus Lizard kinda way, and I love the Jesus Lizard!
Great stuff. Wheres the album at?
EDIT: Subbed btw. The guitars are maybe a bit loud and bit too much room sound, but its not detracting from my enjoyment one bit, and stylistically the room sound makes sense and fits with the overall sound and your stated aim. Still, WWAD*?
Man this is a rocking tune. One thing I would say is that the vocals are really low throughout, which is a shame because they sound good. Like the little solos. The drums seem a little buried in parts.
Regardless of the things I mentioned above, I quite like the song.

What kindafishy said. Very cool rock riffs. What kind of guitar are you using for the
'almost clean' repeating lows string riff? SG or SG clone? Whatever it is, I really like the tone. There is a unique woodiness to it.
