Default Help: Copy meters from one Fusion theme (ARTMod) to another (Mordi)

Aloha!

Would anyone be able to help me copy some meters over from one theme to another? I'm using a customised (just via Reapers theme colours) version Mordi's (excellent) V3 and would love the meters from ARTMod's (excellent) V4.

I'm assuming it would be swapping out some static PNG files and tweaking the RTConfig? No idea where to start!

I'll donate some $$ as a thank you :¬)

Ross

Edit: Copied the images cross, seems to work, but I can't figure out how ARTMod's version has the black lines (PNG overlay or rtconfig code?) that give it the LED look (attached).

Anyone know how to do that?

Open the theme tweak window using the action list, and then check this box:

Pretty cool that you're using my edit. Fusion is such a great theme!

Dude, thank you! I spent hours looking at PNGs and the rtconfig thinking it was in there somewhere :¬)

Your mod BTW is my favourite Reaper theme. I used to be a UX/UI designer and appreciate the little touches.

One last thing - I'm trying to change this highlight on the track ID. Spent way too long trying to figure this out too. Would like it to be the same brightness as the usual selected track highlight alpha. Could I be cheeky and ask for some help there too?

Thanks so much for replying!

PM me your PayPal address for a little thank you.

Pretty cool that you have a UI/UX background. I’ve always been fascinated by UI. I love creating menu-systems for games.

To edit that you’ll need to modify a .png-file. Don’t remember what it’s called, but it should have «tcp» in its name.

Found it - thanks. Forgot that single PNGs had multiple states on them, so kept ignoring the tcp background image (whoops).

Created a new meter as I prefer gradients for the master meter:

Same for channels:

Here's the updated tcp:

- Created new IO button (couldn't help myself)
- Removed bright line along bottom
- Track ID highlight more subtle
- Used ARTMods volume dial

Also changed the font to Fira Sans.

Cheers!

Nice. That looks great!

The volume and pan knobs being identical has been a small UX issue in my edit, so that seems like a good idea to differentiate them. Fira Sans looks pretty cool, especially at smaller sizes like in the input-dropdown.

Yeah that bugged me a little, nice now to see the orange in peripheral vision and know it's only for panning.

Only thing left to figure out is the meter background, it's a solid #2f2f2f (or 38 38 38) grey, while the actual meters have that gradient going from darker (bottom) to lighter (top) grey. Can't find that in the PNGs or rtconfig.

Especially obvious with no audio - check out track 24 in the mixing/mcp panel meters screenshot above.

I'm pretty sure that's one of these.

V is for vertical and H for horizontal.

Thanks -gone through those though!

The bug isn't there in Mordi V1. Only in V3! I'll compare the images.

Is it possible to disable the midi/input bar btw (tiny teal one on the right)?

I think so. It might be a preference.

Edit: Looks like it's in the preferences:

Ah thanks so much! Perfection.

A shame Reaper V6 breaks the theme. Going to have to stick with 5.99 for now.
