Default i need more contrast on my selected tracks! any sugestion?

I find very difficult to find my selected tracks. I am using reaper default theme. It's grey and lighter grey when selected.Probably i'll simply change to white color, but i wonder what more experienced users would do!

Thank you!

Don't want to RTFM?

I suggest you ask basic questions like that in YT.
You can also watch Kenny's videos on this site.

Here is an example of someone else doing a Reaper guide video:

Hi,
I understand.
You need to get into the theme and replace mcp BG sel with an appropriate image.

Edited..I used gimp to take the MCP and TCP BG sel to make selected tracks "light up".

Try a different theme anyway. I like this version of Commala:

https://forums.cockos.com/showthread.php?p=1778709

Then look at the theme options for track width etc.

If you want to stick with the Default Theme, have a look at the 5.0 Nitpicky Edition (where these options are available): https://stash.reaper.fm/theme/1621/D...icky%20Edition

If you want to dig deeper without the userfriendly ways you can start by checking Kenny Gioia on "Editing default layout" and then you could modify the very images from the Default theme.

After you know how to unzip the Default theme you have access to the image folder that the theme uses to produce the layouts.

When you modify and darken the track background image in the folder for example, you will affect the look in Reaper etc.

Im still learning but will make a video later when I get it more.

Is there any way to easily do this with someone else's theme? For instance, I love the iLogic Next Free theme. But the selected track is just not contrasted enough for me.

Preferences has these options greyed out (the tint options).

So many themes are SO close, but I want that one simple tweak... to make them all REALLY lovely.

Highlighted brighter/more contrast or even the entire track length a little brighter (Ableton-style)... OR, a border around the selected track control panel (certain themes have this functionality). Any luck?

I'm talking about Reaper 5... haven't spent a ton of time with R6 as I'm mainly still on 5.

Thank you!!!

Try using one of the Theme color adjustment scripts from amagalma:
