Default Eklipss by Dimaension X

Some new experimental Drone Doom Metal from Dimaension X created and inspired by the upcoming Solar Eclipse on 08/21/2017. Once again, I've been listening to SunnO))), Monarch, Olde, Thorr's Hammer, Khanate, Nadja, and other Droney Doom bands, and using the number Pi (π) as "tablature" for the notes.

I like the dark/light theme and concept, and it all fits cohesively. I thought the opening in Umbra was a little ponderous, but then 3:10 came in--totally love that section. The mix sounds good to me except for maybe the bass is not very distinct. Drums are nice n bold, though.

Penumbra-6:05-classy breakdown, loved it. That's as far as I got in this session, but I'll prob listen to the others later because of the cool parts in the ones I heard.

I had to give this one a couple of spins. It's trippy as usual but there's a lot more space here, the arrangements are less crowded; the minimalism contrasts nicely with the complexity of some of your previous ones.

Maybe it's just because I know it, but I think I can hear the single coil twang under the dirt. It gives the guitars a little more bite than the usual hot humbuckers of the genre, and when the clean tone enters it's a beautiful contrast.

The mix sounds very good to me.

Hi guys, thanx for the comments.

I think the "twang" stands out in the clean sections - the single coils in this guitar really shine here. It's a stock SX Furrian MN Ash TBU model. $159.95. Seriously a lot of guitar for very little money. I'm VERY happy with the guitars I've purchased from Rondomusic. I highly recommend them.

I'm definitely going for minimal drone-doom for the overall feel. Simple, slow, heavy, loud, and yeah, even "ponderous" works. I love slow doomy guitar sounds that you can just "bathe" in. Ever since I heard Celtic Frost 30 years ago, Tom Warrior's tone is a "Holy Grail" for me. Just letting that molasses thick sound wash around you is heaven to me. I guess that's all I'm sharing here.

Thanx again, and I hope to hear more comments and constructive criticism.
