Default Setting up separate Master and Slave computers

Hello Reaper users! Very new to this program, but loving it so far.

My band currently has a lot going on with our live set up in Reaper. We have delays and autotune for vocals, preset changes for Axe-FX and Kemper, MIDI signals for our stage lighting, and other things being automated within Reaper. My concern is that if the computer/Reaper were to fail and crash, our live show would fall apart until we got it back up and running.

I currently have two macbooks, with the same version of Reaper, with the same exact live set file with all of our backing tracks and control changes automated. My goal is to sync them both so that I can hit play, have both computers playing, and if one is to fail and crash, the other will immediately activate without any glitches.

I know this is possible to do with Ableton, but I find it easier to work in Reaper. Is this even possible to do in Reaper? Am I better off just using Ableton? Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
