Default In case you are suffering with Python install see this

Ok, so latest Python to the time of writing this is 3.8

So some installers put the DLL in the right directory, with the right name... others not.

Solution:

Make sure you download and install Python 64 for reaper 64
In installers click add python to PATH
Customize installation
Install phython for all users
Choose your folder. I like a C:/Python folder and a Python38 folder inside.

Open reaper and go to preferences/reascript
Here is where the problem lies. Reaper looks for a specific dll. It does not know where python is in latest installers.
So in custom path, set: C:\Python\Python38
It still won't find it so tell reaper to force reascript to use "Python38"

Done

Happy scripting

A sticky would help a bunch of people
