Video playback during live show (wireless HDMI)
I use Reaper to run our shows; click/backingtrack/DMX (vst)/midi switching for amps.
I'd like to incorporate some video playback into the show as well. The video playback will be on two screens on either side of the stage. I don't want any video cabling between the laptop running the show and the screens. I've been researching wireless HDMI transmitters/receivers and I've found a couple that seem to be feasible for ONE screen for sure; but I'm not finding any clear answer as if I can have one transmitter send the same signal to two receivers at the same time and still remain cable-less. No audio needs to pass thru to the screens and the signal will probably never be more than 1080 at absolute max. Mostly going to be logos with movement behind/sprites/etc - nothing time sensitive necessarily so a little lag is easily tolerable. The key is to remain wireless and display to both screens at the same time. I'm assuming that the transmitter will just show up as a second monitor and I can have the video playback window only on those monitors (I don't want the crowd to see the main laptop display obviously). Anyone doing something like this and if so; what suggestions or ideas am I not thinking of that might help get this implemented? |

Hookup the screens to another computer and either:
Use timecode to trigger the videos on the other computer (Best option) Use screen sharing to playback the video that are on the reaper machine. (Remote desktop)
