Default GarageBand to Reaper?

Hey, this looks like the right forum for me! I'm looking a different DAWs for a Windows 7 32 bit machine and REaper is on my short list. One thing I'm trying to figure out:
I've got a handful of songs and ideas in GarageBand and would like to export them as separate tracks to Reaper - including the SmartDrum tracks - so I don't have to re-create everything. Is this possible?

Not sure if you mean GarageBand for mac or ipad, but yes it's possible.

You probably have to convert the audio files from aac (or m4a) to wav in iTunes.......

afaik SmartDrums will export as an audio file too.

If you mean Garageband for ipad then here's a tutorial :

Thanks! So now I've got my .WAV files, how do I import them as STEREO Tracks into Reaper? It seems that I can only add Mono tracks?

Just select them all and drag them into reaper. It will prompt you to create a seperate track for each file.

I don't get a prompt when I drag the file into REAPER. (?) Also, a stereo track will have two waves on the track, correct? And panning right or left will emphasize the respective wave. Well, I have two waves on my imported audio tracks, but if I pan right, I hear nothing, center and left panning both give me a "centered" audio image. What am I doing wrong? I must have set something up improperly...

Not sure if this helps, but check your panning laws in Reaper (right click on the pan button). If you have negative settings enabled when you pan right, the sound will fade out to the right when you pan that direction)...

Thanks for the reply Mike. My "default track pan law" is NOT overridden and "Pan Mode:" is set as "Project default (Stereo balance)"...

Found the problem: someone pointed me to the "Master output". I've got something configured wrong in there. Thanks again!
