Thanks for this theme, I like it a lot. I always like the default theme, but the slightly warmer colors now make it even more pleasant to look at.

Thank you for the update.
And the Input FX button, any chance you can implement it in both, TCP and MCP?
Thank you.

These are pretty sweet. I think Cockos should considered adding these versions to the installer. I think many people will find that one of these suits them better than the default and they will appreciate the ability to choose.

I agree. I think these are better than the default in every way, shape and form, but also with identical functionality. I wonder if Cockos would consider adopting this one as the default instead...

I love this, only thing is I currently use the Vertical Meter mod for the default theme. I will try these out but I don't know if I'll be able to get used to the hortizal meters again. Anyway to work the vertical TCP meters into these theme?
or is there a way I could do this myself?

Beautiful theme!
Any chance of getting a black "large" mixer layout?

dBeautySalon, paterpeter yes, i'll do it
Link0126 i'm working on it, i also tried the mod, but it looks out-of-context and needs to be properly placed into tcp. it will be available sometimes in the future.. when i'll understand how to position things in walter.
run, megalodon if only i could get a job at cockos with this theme
Splaaat look for meter_strip_h & meter_strip_v. I'm not 100% sure, but i think if you rename them you will be able to set meter colors from the preferences.
krahosk the midi editor doesn't support layouts, therefore it will be 1 midi editor for all layouts.

As the main layout? I don't understand your question. You can change and mix layouts as you like.

yes but you cannot have variations of the black TCP, right? Once you go black, if you change layouts, you must go back!

I made a screenshot of the REAPER TCP and MCP using the Janne Silver Star v.2_1.3, wich have the Track Input FX button.
REAPER have this function but not all themes use it.
I believe that is a usefull function and deserves be included in your nice theme.
Greetings.

I could have built the whole theme on my own too!
I was just raising a question of congruence, which, I think would be beneficial for the theme itself and all users.

Yes, i will work on it, but bear in mind that there is 1 midi editor for all the 3 layouts, so i'll make it look better, i hope, but neutral (shades of gray).

You could have a .ReaperTheme file for all three versions each with the colors or MIDI editor matching the rest of the skin, for sure.
Or did I misunderstand - the color variants are implemented as WALTER layouts, not separate .ReaperTheme files? That's a bit weird way to go about it, if true...

The question of lighter borders and ruler not matching the main theme has been raised in a thread. The reason for not matching it with the main screen was that the development team ruled, after some users feedback, that the MIDI editor was more appealing with a lighter shade. But that preference remains more or less shared by other users from what I've gathered.
For me, it's like a suit and tie. The suit is the main screen, and the tie is the MIDI editor. Matching colors is always a winner.
Something like this:
It fits with all three variants of your theme.
Thank you for already considering this point!

I'm sorry to disappoint you but i won'y make it look like this. I will, however, change the margins but in the middle i won't change it too much because the main purpose of this theme is to be as usable and as easy on eyes as possible. You can change it to suit your taste though
edit: the thing is that the midi controller uses the global "window background" color, so any change will affect all windows. I guess i'll have to leave it this way, or change all the elements (i'll play with it, but i don't promise anything).

That global window background color change is a limitation for theme editing. It should be a feature request.

May I make a suggestion? The RMS meter would be REALLY good if it went from yellow (low RMS) to red (high RMS) instead of just some arbitrary color/gradient.
I really like mixing with consistent levels and shooting for roughly -16 RMS...that value could be "reddish orange"...just a thought.
Love this theme! So torn between Bender and this!

Reaper stretches the png to match the MCP size, and i don't know how it will behave and where exactly to put the green, yellow and red so that it will be always matching the exact RMS. I also don't know the exact values where yellow/red should appear. If you want to play with it, unzip the themezip file and look for meter_strip_v.png (there are 3 of them: 1 in the root folder for classic, + silver and black in the respective folders)
