Hi
I think you should vary the base sequence.
Just adjust the key didn't work for me.
Some small variation and then back to the base rythm.

I like it.

What I like:
Great job on the high hats
The melodies were nice
The string articulations seemed pretty good - obviously samples but they fit the song and style
The underlying sequence kept things urgent

Room for improvement:
I agree that the underlying sequence needs more variation.
- If It Were My Song, I'd add some filter sweeps or other tonal variations at a minimum, but I'd highly recommend varying the rhythm of it as well. Maybe start and end with what you have
The "middle" section where the strings are more laid back is too long and repetitive
- IIWMS, I'd either shorten or heavily modify this part
The drums never went anywhere. They started out with lots of tension, then the snare comes in to relieve some of that tension, and then just kind of keeps going
- IIWMS, I'd want an explosion somewhere and then bang on the 2 and 4 for a while, or at least a couple measures

Overall it reminded me somewhat of Brut Carpenter and/or Tech Noir. Good stuff, keep going!

Thank you msundh and Reason!

I do agree with all of the points. I'll figure out something in the second pass.
