Default Mark Item if edited

Hi

i posted this question already in the General Forum.

I recently ran into the situation where i shortened a group of items by accident.
I processed them (also via analog hardware) and rerecorded them.
The last 10secs of each item were missing. I didn't realise while recording.

If the edited (shorted) items would have shown that something happened to them (length changed, volume changed) as it is f.e. in pro tools i would have been aware of it.

I wonder if there is already a function or it is possible to do it via a script, to mark f.e. the item name with a * or something just to make visible that the file is not in its original state anymore.

Thanks for reading, looking forward to comments.

Couldn't you lock the items you're happy with so they can't be changed? I've often wished I'd done this!

Thanks for the replies.

It would be great if it shows a mark if i change an items length. f..e.

locking items is ok, but when you are still in the process of moving them around you don't want them locked. With a mark you would see right away that the item is in its original state.
