Transport tooltip(s) misplaced (FIXED)
Just noticed, that in 2.301 the tooltips are displayed right next to the mouse pointer.
This was better in older versions. There the tooltip of the "selection lenght field" didn't cover the field itself when hovering it with the mouse.
Now in 2.301 this is a bit bad. A tooltip shouldn't cover the area you wanna click into (to enter a new selection lenght in this example):
(happens with maximized main window + docked transport + unattached docker)
FIXED (3.04)

There's another tooltip display bug concerning the docked transport: the tooltips are displayed on top of the menu bar...

Weird, here all tooltips behave nice. Either with docked or undocked transport. Hope this one can be traced down, must be annoying...

you don't get this: ?
it only happens if i have the main window maximized with the transport docked.
if i don't maximize the main window, then the tooltip gets placed outside of reaper (which is fine). with the transport undocked, the tooltips are placed properly below the input fields.
so if the main window is maximized with the transport docked, reaper should place the transport tooltips above the buttons and input fields.

No, even with maximized Reaper window and docked transport the tooltips are shown underneath, and slightly right from the mouse cursor, also with fullscreen (F11) mode active. They never get in my way. And never are that off as in maifengs pic, which really is a bummer! I surely am a happy camper. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Like gofer I have no problems with the toolboxes, this is what it looks like for me. (maxed window, docked tranporter)
Picture is only the transporter but the toolboxes behaves the same on every button/field for me.

Ah, yes there you are... with maximized Reaper window, docked transport and unattached docker I get the tooltips covering the fields.
You're right, in this case they should display above the mouse cursor.

...and when the undocked transport window is squeezed to the lower edge of the monitor.

Can't reproduce this whatsoever.
Perhaps it's got something to do with the screen-resolution, as maifeng's pic seems to be a screenshot of a widescreen monitor.

Actually the screen-resolution on that pic was 1440x900 pixels, if I remember right.

As Dstruct said, try with a hidden docker. Go to View -> Show docker (or Alt+D) then place your mousepointer over the boxes in the transportbar.

Nothing to do with resolution, but with placement logic of the tooltips. If the tooltip can't appear at it's normal place (underneath-rignt of the cursor) because it would be displayed outside of the screen borders, it is sort of pushed inward the screen. E.g. if it hits the lower edge of the screen it is displayed a bit upward. Which means in case of the transport, it will unluckily cover the spot of interest.
What makes things worse is the fact that the docked transport has the display fields at the very right end, so that the tooltip is also pushed leftward, so it can be displayed at full length. Both, the up- and leftward push cumulate in the 'Lenght of time selection' field gets totally covered by the tooltip.
