Default Please: Intelligent audio stretching over tempo changes

When I insert a tempo change with existing audio, I have to either insert a stretch marker or split the audio.
The stretch markers can be problematic especially with pads or drones.

When dragging in audio from the media browser over a tempo change It is required that I count the bars in the area of static tempo, drag the audio in somewhere else in the session where there are no tempo changes (typically after the music), make split or shorten the item to that length and then drag into place.

All of this is a little tedious

I wish Reaper would find the closest zero points to the bar or beat where the tempo change is occurring and stretch from there to the next tempo change or end of file automatically for each media item, so I could avoid all the tasks above, and still have the very best quality to the audio as it does now.

Yes, count me in. I’ve been wishing for the same kind of thing.

Within the audio data (that comes in without any "bar" indication ?!?!?!?)
I suppose this is a task for high class audio tweaking tools like Melodyne.

Julian fixed this issue with this new action I found in Reapack today.

Script: js_Adjust audio items to tempo changes using stretch markers.lua

Brilliant!

Thank you, Julian.
