Default Finally please find me a PT theme.

Happy New Year!!!

As a long time Reaper user and love it, I am about to buy a bigger monitor for clearer working within Reaper..

One thing I am desperate for (and puts me off long sessions) is the Theme.

I am using default as its the simplest and I have had a go at theming and got into a right mess! some of the themes are great, but in the end stuck with Original as i re-set my own Reaper template/actions to my liking.

All I want is basically the default theme, but with some colour! if each track recorded was say a different shade exactly like PT 11 does?
I have posted before, tried numerous themes, and reset, as I can't find a simple PT like "colourful" theme that works?

I don't really need all my icons/actions changing to PT and could keep the same Reaper default theme, except maybe a white grid background and seperate coloured tracks as they are recorded/created?

I have tried the tint background colours and its never worked?

A simple colourful PT workspace (TCP?) for the audio and midi items is very intuititve and the total grey-ness of all the tracks in the default is a drag on the eyes in long sessions

If you'd just scroll a bit in this subforum you'd find it.

But just show me when using SWS Autocolor how it works? do i need the tracks in the session already? or do i need to enable something for new tracks to be coloured? when using the default theme?

At 1200 plus posts on here you cant find a theme? Maybe try looking at user Albertxxxx and seeing what he has started?

Or like we said earlier, look down this very forum section for something started by Albert that has either P-- T---- or Pro Tools in the title.
A clue: and the word GOLD as well!

Albert's them is good, but not as "smooth" as the real PT theme is....too "neon" and not enough "pastel" in our humble opinions,,,,

Albert has created an excellent theme, which he continues to improve based on forum feedback.

AFAIK PT is still available for purchase.

perhaps some confusion is around when setting up the SWS coloring, you first have to define a set of colors and then save that in the SWS color thing...

Now you seem to want auto coloring... which I don't care for, ..

I have a toolbar that shows colors that are my defined SWS colors, and let's me set them for either the track and\or the item. It gives me those SWS colors, black and white and then also picking a color from the color wheel... much better IMHO than digging into drop down menus..

I find this very handy to color as I wish...
and I agree on the PT theme... and suggest you make a donation to Albert to get on the email list for the Gold version... it's lovely and keeps getting better and better.
